Our CSA

Registration for our 2024 CSA will start in June.

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is a great way for you to ensure fresh, delicious local food for your family while supporting the local food system and economy. You are basically purchasing a “share” of Scott Farm’s harvest for your family while helping us with the upfront costs of the pre-harvest work. It is a win-win! Scott Farm offers fruit shares for 12 weeks in the Fall, with weekly pick ups generally starting on the first week in September and continuing until Thanksgiving.

If Mother Nature allows, we begin the season with peaches, followed by the freshest picked traditional farm stand apples, combined with an assortment of our heirloom varieties. As the season progresses, we add plums and pears to the apple mix. Participants receive weekly emails with the selections of the week, their history and best use, plus some recipes and musings as well.

Full & Half Shares Available

In the Fall, we will offer 12 weeks of fresh and delicious, ecologically-grown fruit.

We generally offer 2 pick up days and 3 different pick up locations.

Monday pick up:
- Scott Farm
Thursday pick up:
- Scott Farm
- The Works Café in downtown Brattleboro
- The Gleanery in Putney.

Full Shares: 1/2 peck of fruit (4-5 lbs): TBD
Half Shares: 1/4 peck+ of fruit (3-4lbs): TBD

Note: CSA shares delivered to Putney or Brattleboro cost $1/week extra ($12 for the season) to cover delivery costs.

Additional Important Information

On the day of your pick up, CSA shares are available by 9am at Scott Farm and by 2pm at the two other pick up locations in Brattleboro and Putney. They have to be picked up by the end of the day. In the past we have done our best to accommodate special requests, but the CSA has now grown to the point where it has become too difficult for us to accommodate.  If you can’t make it to pick up your fruit, please ask someone else to pick it up for you.  We cannot guarantee that your bag your bag will still be available if you come to pick up your fruit on the next day.

Feedback from CSA customers:

“Loved the CSA– it was so wonderful to have a new selection of apples each week. My favorites were the Gravenstein. Your staff was also very helpful, and I especially like that I could call ahead and pick up a bushel or two of seconds for sauce making at the time I picked up my CSA.”

“We love the Scott Farm & appreciate the hard work that goes into the farm and the emails. It is always nice to see people take pride in their work and share their enthusiasm. Keep up the great work.”

“I loved your CSA! The only suggestion I have is to extend it, if possible!”
