Heirloom Apple Varieties
Worcester Pearmain
A beautiful early season apple originating from 1870s Worchester, England. Worcester's claim to fame is its distinct strong strawberry flavor, thought to have been inherited from the potential parent apple, Devonshire Quarrenden. With striking white firm flesh and perfumed intense sweetness, this early season delight is an excellent dessert apple, as well as transforming into a high quality addition to cider. Harvest mid-late August.
